we stayed 5 nites in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 53rd floor...wow the views are so amazing.There wasnot one thing we wanted, it was all there, the housekeeping was excellent as well, so handy to all siteseeing and a supermarket, also so many cafees and shops to browse just downstairs. We will be going back, and i recomand you do tooo!

We were treated really well, great apartment, checked in early no problem, had a great stay for 5 days, can thoroughly recommend them. close to darling harbour, paddys markets, sydney tower myers, had a ball. thanks Meriton you guys were great.
Stayed April 2012, traveled with family

We were a family of 5 travelling to Sydney and looking for a 2 bed , spacous, affordable accomodation. We found it! Meriton on Kent was clean, roomy, and not too noisy. I can recommend it for any families travelling into town

Amazing is what we thought of when we stayed here. We booked one of the penthouse apartments for 2 nights and couldn't believe how big and modern our apartment was. It was like our own house in the sky!
Everything was catered for, spa, amazing views of Sydney everything. We booked at last minute and got a great deal for 2 nights .
We stayed an extra night and had to transfer to their pitt st building and still we had a room up high with double balconies and was also fantastic!!!
This is the place to stay every time we go to Sydney from now on!

Our one bedroom appt was well furnished, well serviced,& very comfortable. All the staff we encountered were polite, efficient & helpful. Not cheap ( UK exchange rate!) but good value. Try & get a high floor, the views are great. We have stayed 3 times & will stay again

Stayed here on a girls weekend from Victoria with an overseas visitor. Perfect location. Absolutely fantastic apartment, spacious and on the top level. We were all surprised and excited about this apartment, it had the WOW factor. Will definitely be back.

stayed here for 5 nights. got a skyview room looking out over darling harbour, up on the 52nd floor. the place was amazing!! massive apartment, really clean, great aircon units. amazing views. really quiet at night. all in all, brilliant. only negative was the tv, not a huge amount of channels to choose from. free foxtel would have been great. would defo stay here again.

We found the apartment was just great. We were very happy with the area with a couple of great breakfast places nearby. Also being an easy walk to Darling Harbour, Town Hall Railway Station and the City shopping very convenient! The high light for us was the balcony, we really enjoyed relaxing out there with coffee in the morning and with a wine prior to going out for dinner of an evening. We had a sensational holiday and our accomodation was a big part of our enjoyment. It was a pleasure going back there after being out and about all day seing the sights of such a beautiful City. We actually felt very much at home! So thank you for your part in making our holiday a memorable one.

My first trip to Australia and booked here for a week. You pay A$10 more for higher room past the 34th floor. Go for it as its worth it. We asked for a great view as it was our first int in Oz. Ended up on the 52nd floor and loved it. Great views over Darling Harbour. Stayed in a studio apartment - more than big enough for two people.
Great facilities - even include dishwashing powder for the dishwasher! Everything had been thought of for the traveller.
A very contemporary and high standard of accommodation - loved the huge bed. The pool is good, the gym OK yet if you really want a good gym you'll fine it outside.
The perfect location to explore Sydney. Certainly will be rebooking for the next trip.

This place was amazing, we will definitley be back! We book a studio apartment with no preference of level, we stayed here the night of Mardi Gras 2012 and somehow were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment on the 41st level! (trust me i wasnt complaining) The apartment was flawless, clean and modern and the view! wow! I was so excited to get out onto the balcony that I jammed my finger in the door. The staff were very polite and we didnt hear a thing at all that night from those celebrating Mardi Gras. The location is spot on, litterally a 2 minute walk to george street! about 5 minutes to China town and 10 minutes to get to the Warf on darling harbour. I honestly don;t have a bad thing to say about this place. LOVED LOVED LOVED IT, i didnt even get a chance to check out the pool and spa but will make sure I do next time.

I chose this apartment for its central location, reasonable price, and how much more spacious it is when compared to hotel rooms around the area. China town, Darling harbour and the train station are all within walking distance. We didn't have to hail a taxi once all weekend.

We have stayed here several times as it has become our preferred option for visiting Sydney since having children. Location is convenient to: Chinatown restaurants, World square shopping centre and supermarket, Town Hall train station and Darling Harbour attractions.
I find it convenient to have laundry and kitchen facilities when travelling with young children.
Apartments are spacious, clean and value for money. On our most recent stay we arrived at 10am and were given access to our apartment even though check-in is not usually until 2pm (this may have something to do with being on a corporate rate).
There is a pool, gym and spa. I have never experienced these to be very busy but I am usually visiting them at off-peak times i.e. during the day.
Highly recommend these apartments with kids although I think charging additional $35/night for a cot when we had booked a 2-bedroom apartment for 2 adults, a 4 year old and 4 month old was a bit steep.

I booked online in NOV 2011 and then had the good fortune to still be in Sydney so I came to see what I was paying for.
Right from the minute I stepped thru the door I found the staff at front desk to be most courteous. I got the impression that nothing at all was a problem. The lad at the front desk ( David ) took the time to show me my potential accomodation. I was blown away by what I saw and had absolutely no qualms about paying for all my accomodation in advance and right then and there. I knew I would be getting value for money.
On arrival here I was attended to my Amanda and once again the service was polite and efficient. There were several people in line behind me yet I still felt that Amanda was giving me professional and personal attention and not once did I feel like I was being rushed! .
Over the 5 days that I have been here I have realized that the entire staff in all the areas of the Meriton are bright eyed, courteous and most definitely helpful. I'd like to mention Don who was tremendous in giving great advice and direction in and around this area,which was all foreign land to me.
So impressed was I that 2 days later I booked a 2 bedder for my brother and sister for one night so they to could see how luxurious the Meriton is. On this occasion I was attended to by Phil and the professionalism and good manners continued to flow. It has been many many years since I have had service that has been so consistent. I travel on a regular basis and I stay at hotels all over Australia and overseas. I think I have found my comfort zone.
I met a lot of guests in the lift and the feedback of the Meriton was as I have expressed above. One couple even checked out of the ---- to come here. I told them they would have no regrets about doing t! heir actions and the Meriton was the place to be.
There is on e positive I would like to share. I brought 6 pairs of work jeans that required shortening and high vis reflective tape needed to be sewn on. The Prestige place next door quoted a price of $30.00 per pair. I found a place called KIM'S FASHION FABRICS at Level 6, 68-70 Dixon Street, Chinatown. She did an expert job and charged $15.00 per pair. A saving of 50%. Come on Meriton...We all like a good deal.
At the end of the day no one minds paying for quality as good as we get here. I am looking forward to returning and I shall be spreading the good word when I return to work.
How does the staff get recognition for the quality service they continue to give? They are well deserved of such an award. I'm pretty sure my box of pastries doesn't quite cut it. ( Food for thought and don't mind the pun.)

Visiting from Europe and unfamiliar with accommodation in Sydney, I relied heavily on reviews in Trip Advisor to help me choose. We chose Meriton Sericed apartments on Kent Street. It was an excellent choice. The location is very good - close to public transport/restaurants and shops. There is a Coles supermarket just across the road. Darling Harbour/Circular Quay/Opera House are all easily accessible. The studio apartment we had was modern, clean and very well equipped. It really had everything - my wife was most impressed!!. Tablets of washing powder for the dishwasher and clothes washer are provided free of charge. Staff at the Meriton are professional and very helpful. Within 10 minutes walk in any direction from the apartment block, you will find an array of eating options. Asian to European and many offering great value meals. I could not find any fault with this establishment and if you like to stay in an apartment rather than an hotel, I suggest that the Meriton on Kent Street is about as good as you will get. Finally, if you are staying in Sydney for a week, get yourself a weekly multi travel ticket - it gives you free travel on all Sydney buses/ferries and limited access to the underground network. It costs about Au$43 and is worth every penny!!.

Stayed for one night in a one bedroom apartment in January 2012. Staff here are very nice and helpful. Stayed in room 3303A which is a connected apartment (there is one door that leads you to a small hallway with two separate rooms). That was probably the only downfall of the place, I recommend to try and get a one bedroom apartment that is on its own. Room is very spacious and clean. Kitchen had all the necessities and was stocked with the required appliances. Room had a very nice view of Darling Harbour as well. Will definitely come back and stay here when I have another night out in Sydney. Good for couples and families.

We stayed here for just a night since we were in the Sydney to watch 'Love Never Dies'. It was great. Location was good right in the middle of everything basically. Few minutes to go here and there and the free shuttles are good for further places.
The room was clean like other Meriton apartments and was great. We were on floor 43 and the views were exceptional! Facing towards Darling Harbour and Pyrmont.
The service was excellent no problems whatsoever.
Will DEFINITELY stay here again.. and again.

Stayed here on business for just under 2 weeks. The location is great with plenty of places to eat and drink close by.
The staff we friendly and helpful, for example we needed one of the room converted from a Double bed to a twin and they took care of this at 8pm at night which proves they have staff on hand any time of the day.

Stayed at Meriton during the Christmas holidays and was really happy with my choice! We sprung for a "Skyview" studio and had an amazing view of Darling Harbour. The room exceeded my expectations. I thought studio would mean regular hotel room with kitchenette, but it was larger than anticipated as the bedroom was separate, there just wasn't a door. The room had a nicely appointed kitchen area and the whole unit was modern and tasteful. The balcony was large and very nice.
The location was just perfect. Away from the super touristy bustle of Circular Quay but super convenient to Darling Harbour, Chinatown and the Spanish Quarter. Also a very short walk to the shops at the Queen Victoria Building and the Town Hall CityRail stop. The front desk was not overly friendly, but helpful and the lobby always smelled amazing - I don't know what scent they pump through there but it was nice. We booked 2 months in advance and got a great rate and were very happy with the overall experience! I plan on considering the Meriton brand on any subsequent trips to Australia I may be lucky enough to embark on in the future!

Spent new years eve here with family and although very expensive $900 per night it was one of the cheaper options for new year in Sydney.
We found the place great, two bedroom sky apartment has great view and a nice balcony. Beds really comfortable and lounge and kitchen functional. It was great to get some groceries and have breakfast etc in the apartment out of the mad rush of new years eve. Like others have said there is a wide choice of eateries around the apartments and you can walk safely to lots of places.
Darling harbour is a short walk over a pedestrian bridge so no major roads to tackle if you have little ones. There is also a multiplex cinema just around the corner on George street.
At regular times of the year this apartment has very economical rates so makes it a great place to stay when you want a bit more room or a clothes washing opportunity as you get a washer and drier in the room

My experience at all Merition Apartments has been aewsome. From the Room Attendants right through to the Reservations and the Front Desk Reception. I stayed in a studio apartment for 4 nights. The room was spacious, modern and well appointed. It had everything that I needed on the short business stay. It's a 2 min walk to World Square, 5 min to Town Hall, and 5 min to Darling Harbour. There was plenty to restaurants and cafes just by the door step of Meriton. I was on the 40th floor and had excellent views of Darling Harbour.

From the moment we booked in , our stay was excellent. The apartment was wonderful with a full kitchen and a stunning view over Darling Harbour. Service was superb, asked for a frypan as apartment had none and one was immediately sent up to our room.
Staff were extremely helpful with directions and the location was convenient to transport, shops and lots of places to eat. Indoor pool and spa were also great.

I would highly recommend Meriton Apartments.

Very impressed with our stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. The staff were super helpful, the apartments were lovely and serviced... one morning we left early to get to our activities and a few dishes were left in the sink for me to get done when we got back... I was embarrassed and surprised that they had been done with the refresh service. Thank you so much... Meriton will be my first choice for accommodation from now on :)

I travel a lot up to 6 trips a year overseas and I have now stayed at Meriton Kent street on about 4 occasions and I can honestly say the hotel is up there with the best, it appeals due to it's value for money in the Sydney market. I have recommended this hotel to friends and as long as the qaulity and value are maintained I willcontinue to return to this hotel. I usually shop around but now find that when traveling to Sydney i will rely on Meriton at a kent street. Keep up the good work and competetive pricing and you will continue to receive loyal patronage.

Service was great! The staff were very friendly and the man at the front desk said he had a great room ready for us with a wonderful view. Just wanted to say what an affordable luxury our stay was.The staff were all so very friendly and genuine and we only wish it was a longer stay.(next time) I have already told friends it is the place to stay when they go to Sydney. Thank you .

Excellent location and rooms are of great layout and quality. Kitchenette is well stocked, bathroom is clean with decent sized amenities unlike the tiny ones you get at most hotels and there's always spare towels in the wardrobe which comes in handy when you prefer not to have housekeeping knocking on your door or having to call reception all the time! Always impressed with Meriton, both serviced and residential. The only downside would be the checkout time being strictly 10am and $50 onwards if you request for late checkout. Aside from that, front desk staff are efficient and friendly and have never had to wait to be served on checkin/out!

thought the apartment we stayed in was excellent. Layout of the apartment was great, functunality of the kitchen was great. We were up on the 40th level and had an amazing view and the use of a balcony. It was very handy having a washing machine and dryer to use also. All staff we came across during our staff were very friendly and efficient.

I have already recommended the Meriton Apartments on Kent St to friends and they are going to stay in September. We will definitely use Meriton apartments again.

My only complaint was that the bed we were sleeping on was two single mattresses pushed together (which normally would have worked) but they were at different heights and it made the bed a bit uncomfortable.

I booked the apartment for my cousins 18th night out, and everyone was amazed at how beautiful the room was. All staff were were pleasant and helpful whenever I spoke to them, I would definitely recommend to anyone and definitely my first choice for accomodation as the price was reasonable for the location and views.

We had 63 apartments booked between Kent Street & World Towers & Samir, who managed our booking was not only very pleasant & extremely helpful but nothing was too much trouble for him and he could not have been more accommodating. He made the process 'Problem Free'. This is the 1st time I have had to manage such a large group accommodation & he was patient & supportive. We will be using Meriton again in 2012 and for each year after that for our accommodation, when we attend the Hillsong conference in Sydney. The apartments were a home away from home, in fact we all felt more pampered than that at home.

Thanks for the chance to give you some feedback! Our stay with you was great – as always. I first booked Meriton on Kent about a year or so ago via Wotif: this was for a short business trip and I booked for three of us, including our organisation’s Chief Scientist. Needless to say I was hoping that Meriton would be both good value and quality - I wasn’t disappointed and our Chief Scientist (who is from Sydney) was impressed! Since this first positive experience I have made Meriton on Kent my first and only choice for Sydney accommodation and have stayed several times – always a good experience: good facilities; well-kept, clean and nicely decorated rooms; efficient, friendly and helpful staff.

On the strength of my Sydney experiences I have booked a 6 night stay at Meriton’s Broadbeac! h property (6-11 August) for a week-long conference – excellent value at about half the price of the recommended conference accommodation which is in the same street. I'm looking forward to the stay!

Fantastic stay, clean, friendly - Location is 10 minute walk from Town Hall train station, Darling Harbour or Pitt St Mall.
Front counter service at check in excellent and was offer free upgrade. ;-) Sky view outstanding, excellent heating / cooling options, outside seating area see photos (on 49 level).

My brother really liked the apartment- quiet and very comfortable, and he appreciated the way the staff were always so helpful. It might be a good idea to have someone check the room carefully before check-in as there was no fry-pan in the kitchen and as it was winter, an extra blanket would have been good, otherwise, it was a fantastic experience

he hotel is very well situated for all network systems trains, trams, monorail and Darling harbour just a 5 min walk away, the night life was good very accessible and if you like Italian food Mamas is just around the corner inexpensive but good value and the host is a good laugh.Fantastic views from our 46 floor apartment. All in all a really good experience looking forward to our next stay there. How people complain about misty mirrors and slow lifts there are 5 lifts to choose from 46 floors in 30 sec's how fast do you want a lift??? some people need to get a life.

Stayed for one night at Kent St Apartment. Asked for a quiet room and tha is exactly what I got - with an absolutely stunning vista of Sydney at night time. 15 in walk to Central Station.Fantastic room. Beautiful comfy king size bed .. clean room.. what more could one ask for in a short stay room.Will definitely be staying next time in Sydney..

We enjoyed our stay and the friendliness especially of the people you had as the concierge they really were a stand out to us. Overall I was surprised at how much I was impressed with the apartments. It is nice to go in and everything to be clean and in good condition. The Kent St apartments are well placed and it is easy walking to Darling Harbour, the station and shops and of course China town. We would certainly consider staying again if we come to Sydney.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had brought visitors from England with us and the staff were very friendly and good and were very accommodating.

Overall I am very happy with my latest stay at Meriton on Kent Street in Sydney. In particular, I am very pleased that the service by the reception staff have improved greatly since my last couple of stays where the service was a bit cold - the reception staff are now a lot friendlier and approachable, well done.

I also wanted to express my thanks to the housekeeping staff who found a handbag I left in the room after our first visit. When I discovered it was missing, I emailed the hotel, and the housekeeping staff had turned it in. I was able to retrieve it when we returned for a second stay at the end of our vacation. Thanks to your wonderful staff.

The apartment was very well maintained. As this was the first time that I chose to stay in an apartment, rather than a hotel in Sydney, I was really impressed. The kitchen facilities were excellent, as I had decided to prepare my own meals during my stay. As a traveller from interstate, having the cooking utensils, linen, towelling, and bathroom accessories provided was so awesome. If anything, probably a few more satchets of dish washing liquid would be handy, and perhaps a few extra chux for cleaning. Thankyou so much for the upgrade. The view over Sydney was spectacular! and I enjoyed having a cup of tea on the balcony with the cute teapot that was provided. Definately would stay again!

I would like to say that all staff were very nice and I had a great stay over and will be coming back again. The appartment was awesome.

The spa and pool area was great although the spa was a little hot. It would have been nice to have seats outside on that roof area to sit and take in the sun.

In the last 12 months, I've now stayed at the Pitt Street apartments and the Kent Street apartments and have enjoyed our stay without issue. To this end, we have recommended your apartments to friends and will without doubt make the decision to stay again on our next visit to Sydney.

We came for our wedding and 40 of our wedding guests also stayed at the Meriton because we recommended it. They were all very happy with the apartments and service. We will be returning to Sydney for my sisters wedding in February and will be staying at the Meriton again.

We have stayed in apartments in different parts of the world for both business and pleasure. We have recently retired and now I have to find good places for myself. We were incredibly pleased with this apartment and I've already emailed friends in UK and Australia to tell them it was probably the best ever.

The room was stunningly beautiful and I cannot thank you enough for the upgrade, you made what was already going to be special evening even more special by adding too it with a truly beautiful room. Very good Location and good size studio room. Had a great time will be back in the future. All the staff we had to deal with were excellent and made our stay great.

I have stayed with Meriton on previous occasions, but my husband has not. He was very surprised at the quality of our apartment and thoroughly enjoyed his stay with Meriton. We look forward to being able to return to Meriton Kent Street.

Had a wonderful stay, great position and still quiet enough. We plan to come to Sydney for a relaxing weekend every year and would certainly stay again. We have even recommended the Meriton on Kent to our friends. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
