My sister and I have stayed at Meriton North Ryde several times this year. The accommodation is excellent. Spacious, well-appointed apartments that are comfortable and clean. On Wednesday 23rd November we stayed in a 2 bedroom - and again we could find no fault with the accommodation. The difficulties came with checking in and out. My sister had spent the morning having medical procedures at North Shore Hospital, and we arrived at 3pm - one hour after the designated check in time - fully confident that we could go to our apartment and my sister could have the rest she needed after such a hectic morning. However, when we got to Reception we were told that our room was not ready. The girl on the desk was most apologetic, and it was not her fault that we had to wait 15 minutes while our room was made ready - it was the fault of understaffing. She said the hotel had been full the previous night and hence the delay in our room being ready - but this reasoning lacks all b usiness logic! Surely all hotels hope and aim to be full every night, and make sure they have housekeeping staff to cope. Or, if Tuesday night had been extraordinarily busy, why was extra staff not put on duty to handle the situation? We enjoyed a most comfortable night in our apartment - as per usual. But when it came to check out, a similar problem arose. When we went to check out, there were several other people checking out - and quite a few checking in early - and only 2 people on the desk. Then in the midst of all this, one girl on the desk took a baggage trolley up to an apartment, leaving those of us wanting to check out waiting longer. Again, this is not the fault of the people on Reception - it is the fault of not enough people on Reception during that busy check out time. I am writing this because I feel the hotel needs to be aware of this situation. Great accommodation and friendly, polite staff are being let down by understaffing.
All staff there could not have been more helpful, courteous and friendly. The room was well equipped, clean and pleasant. We will certainly be returning there if staying in Sydney again. Simply cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone.
With a very big warm thank you, I would like to praise the service and accommodation that my parents experienced upon their stay last weekend. We live in Melbourne. For my parents 25th Wedding anniversary, I sent them to Sydney and was so pleased to hear they loved their stay at their apartment. The pricing was fabulous, studio suite was spotless and lavishly presentable. All of most, the friendly service was fantastic!

This is the cleanest most lovely place I have ever stayed. Will definitely be my go to place to stay when I visit Sydney (which is often).
The most comfortable and well equipped apartment I have ever stayed at. Everything was pristine and clean. The architectural thought in planning these apartments is brilliant even down to the door opening selection of the lifts. It was a challenge to find something to comment on. All I found missing was a program of the free Foxtel channels. With the growth and expansion of Meriton, a Visitor Loyalty Program would be a good option.
